¡En España!

Hola Amigos,

After about 24 hours of travel I am in my old host sister Ana’s house in Madrid! It was an interesting couple of flights; of course my flight from Toronto here was delayed by about 2.5 hours, which led to a lot of sitting in the airport. Good thing I had Angry Birds to keep me company! I sat next to a really cool Chinese lady on my last flight that was on her first trip here as well and was planning on taking a course up in the northern part of Spain for a few weeks.

After arriving and passing through one of the most lax customs I have ever seen, there was a huge delay in the arrival of the luggage from our flight. I was feeling really bad because I knew that Ana’s sister Marta was coming to meet me and I was worried that she might have been waiting. Luckily she had to write an exam that morning and had checked the flights and planned around the delays. I have now slept for like 10 hours and hung out with Ana and her boyfriend a bit. I went out and explored around Ana’s apartment building a bit and found a lovely coffee shop –good to scratch that caffeine itch :D

Bueno, I hope everyone is doing well. It sounds like I will be moving to my more permanent housing situation over the next couple days; I can’t wait to settle in somewhere more permanently.
